Community Spotlight: Mr. Gary Williams

This month we feature Mr. Gary Williams: An award winning broker that is giving back to our community.

What is your connection to our cause?

Recently I purchased the Eazy Bargain Building located at 626-628 Ave of the States which had a lot of household items. I donated about $15k-20k of items to a variety of organizations such the Palmer House, Stinson Towers, and Catholic Social Services. Ms. Michelle Jackson inspired me to donate furniture and some items to one of her program recipients. It was a blessing to deliver the items because of my nature and my Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity’s motto is “ Culture for Service and Service for Humanity”. I love to follow that motto as well!

Why did you choose to support MACG?

Ms. Michelle Jackson spearheaded the connection between me and the recipients. I enjoy blessing others.

Has something that you saw from us or that we sent you inspired you to give, either recently or at some point in the past?

It appears that MACG is trying to make a direct impact in the lives of Chester families. It has inspired me to start a non profit organization called The All IN Foundation which will mentor youth to become young entrepreneurs and future business leaders .

Why is it important to you personally to give back to the community?

To provide an additional outlet to promote positive change through showing how to start , maintain, and grow a successful business .

How would you describe our organization and mission to another potential donor?

A grassroots agency trying to spearhead a change in our community one family at a time !

Could you see yourself becoming more involved with our organization? How so? What would inspire that additional action?

I have plans on opening up this first real estate office in Overtown at 632 Ave of the States. Your prayers and support will be essential!

What would you like to see more of in Chester?

I would like to see more African American owned businesses in Overtown and throughout the area. I would like to see the streets get cleaner (trash & debris litter the streets ), the struggling Sisters & Brothers who stay in Bum Park get so help, the corner men to stop loitering , and so many other business related things to occur.
